Stonewalling is a tactic that narcissists use to control you by completely refusing to talk to you, answer your texts or calls. They do this in the hope that you will crawl to them and beg them to talk to you, after which they can hold the relationship card and make demands. For someone with an anxious attachment style, this can be torture, because they just want to make sure that everything is okay and they don't get the slightest clue from the narcissist. And when the narcissist finds out that this person is suffering because they don't talk to him and continue their silence, it actually becomes very cruel. Even more cruel, the narcissist feels disgusted by it. He loves it when you become unhappy because of him, he loves to be the center of your world, even if it's something negative.
